Are there regional implications for sponsored degrees?

As sponsored degrees have been developed and devised by businesses, they are not subject to the same regional implications that apply to apprenticeships, which are funded by the government of the country the programme falls within.
Employers will have to make allowances for candidates with slightly different qualifications in different regions. For example, a school leaver with A-levels from a school or college in England will not have the same qualifications as other candidates if he/she applies to a programme in Scotland. Employers must allow for and understand “equivalent” qualifications, the same as universities do.
