Be a super hero and land a super career.

If you want to spend your time taking care of the planet there are still plenty of apprenticeships out there for you, here are a few ideas.
Bee farming apprenticeship
Help save the bees, and create delicious 100% natural honey. The Bee Farmers’ Association scheme is open to 16 to 24-year-olds, aiming to equip young people with the skills to forge a successful career in bee farming. Apprentices are employed on a bee farm in the UK, working with an employer for the majority of the year, gaining practical experience as they earn.
Underpinning knowledge is delivered by expert industry trainers in two blocks of two weeks per year.
Those who successfully complete the three-year programme are awarded a Diploma Towards Excellence in Bee Farming by the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers.
Eco-fashion apprenticeship
This is a year with eco-fashion brand Rapanui, with full time training and work experience, for which apprentices are paid the national apprenticeship minimum wage for six months - then a performance based pay rise for the subsequent six months. Almost all (4/5ths) of the senior management team came through the apprenticeship programme, three of which are now partners in the company, and one a director.
The brand is currently recruiting for IT, Customer Service, Warehousing operations and printing apprentices at its headquarters on the Isle of Wight.
Wind turbine apprenticeship
The Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance Advanced Level Apprenticeship, launched by RenewableUK in October 2010, is the UK’s first renewables-specific apprenticeship, and can lead to careers in Power Plant Operations or Maintenance, Wind Turbine Maintenance and Wind Turbine Installation. The apprenticeship is delivered in six colleges around the UK, and awarded by City and Guilds.
Animal care apprenticeship
Fancy yourself more of a horse whisperer than green-fingered eco warrior? An animal care apprenticeship can cover a huge variety of subjects, helping you save the world animal by animal: from Animal Care and Welfare and Zoos/Wildlife Establishments, to Animals in Education and Entertainment.
